just so i can remember and someone can yell at me if this list is missing something

I see, someone likes data loss when they aren't careful and slow systems.

Might as well go with Alma as well, that at least doesn't pretend to be a straight clone RH can kill at any time. Plus if someone wants to upgrade between releases, that is actually supported and works, unlike with Rocky that requires a full reinstall.

@phnt it's only because meso explicitly wanted openbsd and i ain't doin that shit by hand but I figure if I get one BSD going the others are simple enough so I can add freebsd

@7666 A fair warning, if you ever don't power off the OpenBSD VM gracefully, there will be data loss and likely file system corruption. OpenBSD doesn't handle this well at all. Their FFS implementation is completely unjournaled and removed soft updates. FreeBSD at least has soft updates on UFS by default since 14.2 I think.
