with books i rlly like the classics, authors like
frisch, dürrenmatt, marquez, hesse, capote, poe
ig the crime novels dürrenmatt wrote and some stuff by agatha christie were really enjoyable to me.
and video games, i like mario

Sitcoms: 100 Girlfriends, My Monster Secret, Azumanga Daioh, anything labeled "slice of life". Hell, even old Ranma 1/2 and Urusei Yatsura were great episodic sitcoms.

Thrillers: Monster, Akira (the manga is very different from the animated movie), Death Note, Rainbow, MW (Osamu Tezuka was a genius beyond compare)

Mario games: Any shounen action series where the hero jumps around and fights a lot (most of them)

Castlevania games: Vampire Hunter D, Berserk, Goblin Slayer, Claymore, Tower Dungeon

Herman Hesse: Osamu Tezuka's Buddha, maybe any Wehraboo series like Youjo Senki or Attack on Titan

Truman Capote: He did Breakfast At Tiffany's, right? Read any manga labeled "josei" (they are all ultra-dramatic stories by and for insane women)

Agatha Christie: Detective Conan, Kindaichi Files, Undead Girl Murder Farce (despite the name, is this a dark and moody detective series)

Marquez: watch G Gundam, it has beaners in it

@MalibuSunrise @twinspin6 oh, I thought of a good manga full of jumping. Battle Angel Alita has the protagonist (a skinny 5-foot cyborg girl) jump all over her 50-foot opponents while she slaughters them. it's great.

@MalibuSunrise i watched delicious in dungeon a while ago and it was nice, i started cooking something id never made before to eat while watching each new episode so I'd feel like one of them
