@snacks Like, don't get me wrong, there are definitely things to be said here - cross-cultural understanding IS important in this field. I just don't want to fall into the obvious hole and I really, *really* hate the American understanding of Black and White.

@snacks Yep, there's points to be made there and I'm not trying to pretend these issues don't exist (in fact I'm going to some lengths to talk about them in this assignment) but thinking about e.g. how conversations about intersectionality conveniently derailed Occupy Wall Street etc. makes me sick.
