Do twitch streamers get any control over how often ads are shown on their channels? I swear it's really inconsistent between streamers.

@druid i think there's 2 kinds of ads, just random and they can say when to display ads. Also, if ads are displayed by the 2nd method there are less random ones i think

@lanodan @snacks I also like it when they get creative with piss breaks. Fluffans plays the Chobits opening (Let Me Be With You) and puts "Let me pee with you" on the screen.

@druid or actually just say when would be a good time to display ads so mkre get shown? I think league streamers tend to do that while waiting for a new game

@snacks Yeah there seems to be some control over it. I've seen quite a few "snooze" ads for a few minutes while fighting bosses etc.

Yeah Twitch gives you a lot of control over that. I've heard PirateSoftware discuss that in depth before. He does a 3min ad break every hour so he can avoid triggering prerolls and it boosts his revenue cut.

Pretty much all you can't do is turn them off entirely or choose the specific ads shown.
