We eat to extract the fucking calories off things because that's what the body needs the most, inorganic shit such as minerals are also important and part of most living things we eat but they do not contain any calories so no, there's not a single thing you can eat that was never alive.

I was just thinking about it cuz I was thinking about the cycle of life and how animals kill other animals for food and they can only eat some things. Like hamsters wouldnt eat meat I think. And we eat EVERYTHING, it's such a big part of human society to eat EVERYTHING you can possibly eat. Animals, plants, fungi, stuff made out of dead plants like oil or vinegar or juices
