BULLSHIT. It's not the fucking nicotine it's your retarded brain being BORED and looking for cheap dopamine. It takes at much one week to get over chemical dependence, beyond that it's just your brain being its worst enemy.

@meso apparently the craving for cigs never completely goes away

@snacks @meso The most severe cravings are within the first week, then the cravings largely reduce in intensity and then finally go away after several months.

Those predisposed to be stupid enough to want to smoke insect neurotoxin are likely to relapse even without cravings.

@jimmy this is true, but like
after one week, you get over the chemical dependence and you've basically quit
but i've noticed that right now my desire to smoke cigs is much different from the desire to smoke cigs say 3 months ago

@snacks "ONCE A SMOKER ALWAYS A SMOKER!"
"You never really stop wanting cigarettes, you know?"
"It's really hard to quit smoking"

@snacks this is an example of people going down a retarded mental path

if you do something for a long time, you will always be able to look back on it and your brain will always remind you of it. cigarettes are no exception. just because you think of smoking cigarette doesn't mean "the cravings never really go away". You can turn it into "the cravings never really go away", the brain is a powerful enemy of itelf. but at its core it's a simple mental process of remembering that you once did something. it's just people who fall for the meme that make themselves believe it is anything more than that

@VIPPER i don't think having a dream about smoking is the same as craving nicotine. i think it's like, if you were driving a car for a couple years, not driving anymore doesn't make you not think about it. it's the same for everything. i don't think it's a chemical thing, i think it's just normal

@VIPPER @meso Every few months I dream that I'm craving cigarettes (I don't get cravings) and go to the store and buy a pack and smoke one and then I'm really depressed and disappointed with myself in my dream.
