@subclub i appreciate somebody is coming with new things. Up until there will be no Android app for that i still found Nostr with payments integrated into the protocol and a lot of clients available to be better option fort that, even it is still a very niche network.

@Jain as they are talking about it being integrated in specific Mastodon clients I assume it’s a separate Mastodon API server thing?

@Jain what I meant is they masquerade as a masto server but have more restrictive API rules attached to payment. But from looking at their website they do mention “activitypub”. So maybe it’s like a fedi server that automatically denies follow requests unless you pay basically

@Jain the author needs an account on their server because of the payment stuff. And then you can follow them from any other fedi server. And then they’ll only post followers only and you can only follow them if you pay.

@Jain firstly I suspect nobody on blob.cat will subscribe to them and even then they probably just block you and the respective followers maybe move over to Mastosoc &co
