@jojo @abloo @georgia @p @sev @sjw I don't know, just guessing. it says it can't read. can you live-boot something else and see if another OS can access your hard drive? if no I guess it's gone, if yes your installed OS is jsut broken.

@jojo @abloo @georgia @p @sev @sjw I guess you installed your OS from a boot disk or usb dongle, you can use most linux distro installers to boot from that medium. that's called "live-boot". then you can check if it can read the hard drive

@jojo @abloo @georgia @p @sev @sjw just insert the install medium, like put in the install disc. then start the computer, it should automatically boot from it. if it doesn't you need to go to the bios setup, which is different on any hardware.

@jojo @caskd @georgia @p @pernia @sev @sjw @verita84 you can put your hard drive into a microwave and bake for 20 seconds. the radiation will reset the broken sectors. but be warned, your hard drive will emit a cloud of radiation, sometimes called "electronic fog field" which can be used by hackers to gain access to your data. the fog will disappear after a few hours.
