i can confidently say that this is still what going to an american supermarket is like for the average europoor.

My first look at an American supermarket was from a Sodapoppin video and I was fucking DUMBFOUNDED that there was like 15 flavors every drink in HUGE crates and the aisles just went FOREVER.

Wild. Really hope I can see it in person one day.

@meso @hj @lain @lucy @yomiel Actually it’s motor oil. I believe the right one is peach scent and the left one is apple scent.

@SuperDicq @hj @lain @lucy @yomiel I'm gonna be honest with you chief that sounds like some faggot shit, nothing better smelling in the world than regular motor oil

@meso @hj @lain @lucy @yomiel Actually if it was antifreeze I would trust it. Cars really don’t care about what you put in there as long as it does not a good enough job of cooling the car and doesn’t freeze in the winter.

But fucking scented motor oil? Definitely gonna blow up your engine.

@hj @lain @lucy Is that soap?
(Bleach needs to sell bleach :D) (Edit: Oh… motor oil, thanks SuperDicq)

@meso @hj @lain @lucy @yomiel Shout out to Dankpods running a car on Pepsi for multiple months without any issues until they decided to replace the motor oil with Nutella.

@meso @hj @lain @lucy @yomiel A paste made out of little particles of hazelnut completely destroys an engine. Who would’ve thought?

@SuperDicq @hj @lain @lucy @meso @yomiel pepsi as anti-freeze? I'd put random alcohol.

Which reminds me of putting alcohol as fuel (excuse the french): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NU8SR6hwk7g

@lain Except that in real life, the average American supermarket (we call them grocery stores) is full of niggers and pajeets. And now a lot of items are locked behind plastic barriers.

@admin that's not a supermarket that's a cvs

@lain No, many Kroger and Meijer stores are now having to lock items up as a preventative measure against nigger shoplifters.

@lanodan @lain @SuperDicq @lucy @meso @yomiel @hj the alcohol would boil off. Then you just have water. Might work if its everclear.

@CrazyTalk @lain @SuperDicq @lucy @yomiel @lanodan @hj how would it boil off? it will combust in the cylinder. it doesn't boil off. gasoline evaporates too but it's fine in there. generally you do need high ethanol content alcohol, closer to 100% is better. you can't have 100% alcohol cuz it always sucks in moisture from the air and from the distilling process back, you can get it to like 99% i think. but the water doesn't matter, steam is fine in the engine i think it improves efficiency or something in some special designs. but im not sure how those work so i cant say what effect water would have in a regular engine

@meso @lain @SuperDicq @lucy @yomiel @lanodan @hj This is radiator fluid not fuel. Alcohol in fuel is just low density fuel.

@CrazyTalk @lain @SuperDicq @lucy @yomiel @lanodan @hj I thought you mentioned that because lanodan mentioned using alcohol as fuel

@meso @lain @SuperDicq @lucy @yomiel @lanodan @hj Lol didn't realize they mentioned alcohol twice. Should have quoted the part I responded to.

@lain While the Canadian breakfast cereal aisle is that to the average European, the American breakfast cereal aisle (and the variety in soft drinks and fast food) is still that to us.

@SuperDicq @hj @lain @lucy @meso @yomiel I wouldn't put antifreeze that contains corrosive substances in a car unless you are okay with your engine cooling channels rusting out.

If you're in an area that never even approaches 0°C, plain deminerlised/deionised water will work fine, although the performance of that isn't great, as it boils at 100°C.

The lucky star oil was SAE grade and was intended for crappy cars and it didn't blow up any of those engines.

Some genius did decide to buy years old らき☆すた oil (and it seems the scent eventually does break down the oil - as you can see it's orange instead of red) that was also too thin of a grade for his "sports" engine and surprise, surprise it blew up.

@nyx @anemone @lain @krankheit the exception to this is of course the united kingdom where everything bad about procuring food in the US is about 20% worse and somehow more heavily class stratified

@arcana @anemone @lain @krankheit @nyx the reason i say its more class stratified is specifically cuz ya ive been to richer households where their food is just. significantly nicer across the board. my family home, though ...

@arcana @anemone @ciel @lain @krankheit @nyx do you think britain could have a gun culture like america someday?
1

@mischievoustomato @anemone @ciel @lain @krankheit @nyx it used to, the right to bear arms was originally one of the “Rights of Englishmen” and that’s what the American revolutionaries were inspired by.

I think it’s very possible to return to that. Lots of people here do have firearms and there’s plenty of ranges and shooting clubs, it’s just that there needs to be a loosening of the legislation which is definitely possible in future. There are campaigning groups for this
