we dont learn aboutt he rest of the world in american schools
we learn about the nazis? england tea party, rome.. some other old stuff
I had 1 world history class and all we did was "this is germany, bad"
and "this is a book about Buddhism"
oh yeah we learned about the very old guys like Plato (thats old like rome stuff tho)
We learned about julius caesar in english class because they made us read things out loud as the guys.
Thats what we did in high school.
Pre high school was.. Label the continents. Label the oceans. Good job :D
so yeah ok i dont know where all these countries are and ive learned more in my short time on fedi than my entire school life

@whirly we didn't learn too much about countries outside of europe either

@snacks Europe's super old tho theres a lot to learn and theres like 100 countries

@whirly I’m from Europe and I remember that our history books in highschool had a chapter in it about the Russian Revolution and we the teacher skipped it because “It wouldn’t be on the national exam”.
