@georgia Either it was preinstalled on their distro and they don’t know how or care enough to change it. Or they actually have bad taste.

@papush_ xfce and kde are great. if you liking tiling, xmonad awesome and i3 are all good

@lain @sanek I literally can't imagine using windows for all my computing needs. I just can't fathom a computer that isnt at least mostly mine.

@georgia i've used xfce for a few years but it had too many bugs and rough edges. before that i used i3 for several more years but i can't stand tiling WMs anymore. imo kde is ugly as sin and is a nonsensical mess.

lately i've been thinking about switching to a more simple compositor like river and slapping some qml shell on top idk
