@dagda i think the link aggregator format works quite well for news, the unpleasant redditor culture comes from seeing it as some kind of social media / fake internet points competition

@dagda phpBB is better for more involved discussions, lobsters is really mostly just a place to share links, the comment functionality is somewhat secondary imo
