I'm a massive elitist when it comes to foreign audio and always believe in subtitles over everything and unfortunately this whole thing with english dub actors is proving me right. They still often try to keep fucking with the subtitles though so it's not as if that's immune either.

Unity is going to be out of business soon enough, there's no way they'll be able to salvage it because posting as a gamedev the absolute worse thing from a professional perspective is having the rug completely swept out from under you. I was going to be alright keeping my main project on that engine but they just had to have security breaches and push the runtime fees.

At least with Godot being open source even if they do catastrophically fuck everything up I can internal fork it if I have to. Frankly though, I've had zero problems with the engine on the front end for the most part, anything I'm dealing with is all down to my coding skills. If I want to do anything fancy with Godot I would probably hire some autists to take a look at it.

Even without the woke crap in Unity and the runtime fees, it was a generally very bloated engine and frequently had problems however much some people might laugh at Godot.
