@snacks I can only guess but it might have shredded because whoever installed cassete or reinstalled it (like, after deep cleaning in ultrasound or something) misaligned the washer during installation and eventually it cracked under stress

I think I love talking about bike repairs more than riding one, actually.
Also, it's cool to want to repair it on your own so all the more power to bike owners and no to lbs tyranny (unless I need to true a wheel, that shit is something I have zero patience for).

hydraulics should be more or less esdy if you have a bleed kit, as usual I recommend parktool videos.
spokes are..
well it's not completely alien stuff but it's something my (undiagnosed) adhd ass can't do even on gunpoint. Needs a lot of patience and preferably a wheel stand with picrel(but basic stuff supposedly could be done with just tying a ziptie to one of your chsinstays and adjusting until there's no noise.
