boost_ok Should I be concerned that Nintendo replaced my Animal Crossing Limited Edition Switch tablet with a generic one?
I sent it in for repairs because there was a screen issue where the colors extended horizontally across it. I expressed to the customer service guy that I want to ensure I keep my limited edition shell.
I’m concerned because one email said “In service” at 12:11pm and it says it was shipped back at 12:53pm which makes me think they just looked at it and figured they’d replace it instead.
Any thoughts are appreciated.

@Starcross it could be something like they swapped the mobo or something
its honestly not too difficult, and I’d imagine Nintendo service can do it fast

In NoE areas you can specifically choose limited edition consoles and controllers in repair requests so they'll get replaced (if needed) with the same while supplies last. I wouldn't think much about it

@dagda I called NoA again and the customer service rep said he didnt see anything about replacement and that screen repairs are typically just that. And yeah the initial rep when I was setting up the repair specifically put Animal Crossing edition in the system
