I asked the girl from my HEMA school if she wanted to go dancing at a latin club this weekend and she said yes, but then she asked if she could bring her gf along 😭

will still go because I think it’ll be a fun time dancing with them even if its not a date or anything.

I’m going to assume her legit partner but either way it kind of signals it will be a fun outing and that I shouldn’t take it as possibly leading to anything more than that 😅

I'm reminded of that episode of (British) where they all go dancing. blobcatgiggle

@vitalis@dirtyknight.life You could take a friend of yours and make it a double date or something more casual. You can get to know them, and move on from there i suppose

@Death @vitalis That'll teach her to disrespect you!

@vitalis @whirly imho you can assume it's a friend until proven otherwise (these days though...)

ya good dance with them both, have a good time

@vitalis Doh! But you have the right attitude, and at least you know she's not interested because she's got a girlfriend, and not for anything that's your fault. :)

@vitalis maybe she wants to stay on the safe side on the first meeting. also that girlfriend talk might just be to test your reaction. girls are weird like that. anyway, you'll find out soon enough and it could be fun either way.

@vitalis when I was in a similar situation once I ended up making out with the "girlfriend". lol

@vitalis remember that dating is akin to the sisyphus boulder in that you get through it by literally brute forcing through as many ask outs and rejections as possible in social settings while trying to be the best you can possibly be.

you could become friends with both of them both for shared joy/divided misery but specifically to meet more girls that way as well

@vitalis @whirly its really annoying how little people talk about this and how some people use different lingo depending on the situation. current girl I’m dating is deeply autistic, keep this in mind. she put “bff ♥️♥️♥️♥️” next to my name in her contact after we traded numbers

showed this to my nerd friends and they were like “yeah she likes you”

told this to family and they were like “oh you got friendzoned because she called you a friend” even though atp we told each other I love you a lot. they said “only way to prove otherwise is to ask to date”, I asked her out over text (while she was sick which made me feel bad) and she said “yeah” lol

those are all possibilities for sure! she could easily have just said no, or even leave my invite on read without a reply. I‘m sure I’ll have a fun time with her and her gf either way happcat

absolutely! there is nothing wrong with just becoming friends and growing one’s social circle. I just gotta shoot my shots and embrace whatever happens to shoot again
