@rose I remember it being absolutely puke inducing but then again I'm not a big latter enjoyer
the fact that it was sweetened on top of being latte was a 90% chance I would hate it

@rose sugar is mostly used in coffee to mask bad tastes (and modify mouthfeel) so if someone has their coffee dialed in it's needed way less

@snacks the masking bad taste makes sense, but what do you mean with modify mouthfeel?

@rose sweetened coffee feels thicker and i really like that. Grinder i use is really good at replicating that without sugar tho

@snacks @rose this was milk coffee, so the mouthfeel was already not just-coffee -- i drink it like that cuz i can't stand any bitter flavor

idk how "dialed in" my coffee is but i just do ~1:14 ratio with some preground coffee i like

@navi @snacks @rose French press and milk? What kind of milk do you use and how much?

When I use normal milk with any non-espresso milk it comes out either not milky enough or not coffee-y enough.

@emmy @snacks @rose

yeah, and it's normal milk, 3.8% fat i think? i do 120~140g coffee to 100~120g milk and like a teaspoon of sugar

it's coffee-y imo, though imo milk coffee is somewhat different than black coffee
