I have gone through a lot of periods of massively overeating in my life but I've never been a "pig out on desserts/sweets/candy" person. I get my sugar from beverages, but when I want to be a fat fuck and eat too much, I'm always going for something savory and high fat with minimal carbs
@anemone my overeating to an insane degree is always fried shit or stuff that's very savory or spicy. I love bread too but when I really want to overeat it's like "yeah I'll just casually eat 10 pan fried lumpia or crush an entire pizza by myself (which admittedly is carb loaded but I'm there for the cheese and fried veggies)
@anemone or something like "normal serving of rice noodles, pan fried in peanut oil with a bunch of pan fried vegetables, with chili oil as a condiment"
@anemone one of my favorite eating way too much techniques is to get a baguette or vienna loaf, cut it in half, hollow it out, and fill it with fried veggie meatballs, mushrooms, onions, cheese, and sauce
@anemone my biggest huge carb overloads are (besides drinking like 60g of sugar a day) are eating an entire bag of chips in a few hours
@anemone overeating for me as a child was what I did to Cope With Things before I discovered drugs, then I massively underate for a while, then after being homeless and housed again I started eating a fuckload of food just because I could afford it. These days I vacillate between a few solid weeks of overeating and a few solid weeks of massively undereating and it really depends on my health
@anemone my mom and dad let my brother and I start drinking pop at like 4 years old so we're both kinda hopelessly addicted to sugar drinks
@anemone and then there was about 4 years back when I had colon cancer and horrible gut issues and was only eating like 300 cal a day, the only way I could nutrition was from sugary beverages
@anemone my parents kinda didn't give a shit about either me or my brother as kids and we kinda got to do whatever we wanted and it was basically neglect and instilled lifelong bad habits at the time but it seemed cool as fuck when I was 9
@anemone the only shit they ever actually taught us was to not be rude to people for no reason
@anemone my brother is 3.5 years younger than me so i was never old enough to get saddled with basic parenting duties despite Eldest Daughter syndrome and my dad was too much of an asshole and my mom was too career obsessed to really ever do anything about us. we were also Super fucking poor for the first 16 years or so of my life and so it was basically just "parents struggle to hold their marraige and our house together so much there's no time to look after the kids"
@vriska i'm kind of a carbmaxxer tbh half my diet is rice and bread and the other half is mostly fruit and vegetables (supplemented by doritos)
@anemone one time I was 16 I literally stole my dads car for three days and took money out of his bank account and he didn't even realize I was gone lol
@shinyjirachi my normal diet is pretty carb heavy, all rice and veggies and tortillas, but when I specifically want to overeat I go for high-fat fried savory stuff
@anemone i cant imagine spending an entire weekend not seeing your car in the driveway and not even question where it is. that shit is wild to me. dude must have had some shit going on
@vriska you'd think i'd be fat from all the grains but my overall daily calorie count is pretty low so it doesn't actually amount to much. when i think about it like that it probably explains why i'm weak and sickly most of the time, cuz i eat so many empty carbs and a comparatively lower amount of foods that have actual vitamins. which only adds up to like 1000-1400 calories most days because i honestly don't want to put in the effort to eat.
@vriska just like making even basic food feels like a total drag and a waste of time which is kind of a pathological way of thinking but i can't help it. this is kind of a sudden trauma dump but i'm not sorry.
@anemone my dad drank but only in moderation and kept himself away from any other kind of substance because he was afraid of being addicted
