@snacks Yep, same with start-stop. Thank the EU for that.

@snacks They even wanted to broaden that to TC and ABS, but that didn't go through. Not being to disable TC would be especially annoying for people that sometimes drive in muddy/grassy roads.

@snacks Ever went to a race track or off-roading? In former locking wheels in a more controlled manner can aid in cornering and off-road having ABS enabled can outright increase stopping distances because the tires don't dig into soft material, but slide on it more.

@phnt @snacks does anyone have money for new cars
Over here dealers will charge $13k for a 15 year old Toyota with 150k miles because of the Toyota meme

@PurpCat @snacks No, barely anybody's buying new cars and manufacturers have literally large parking lots of completed cars that nobody is buying.

@phnt @snacks oh yeah dealers around here have cars for like $100k from 2023 that nobody is buying especially Dodge Dealerships.

@snacks @phnt It's simple: they got greedy. Even in like 2017-8 a $100k car was the nicest BMW and now you're seeing fancy Jeeps and Trucks and Dodge Chargers for that much.

It's what's going to happen to the console market too with $1000 consoles.

@PurpCat @phnt i don't think ir's greed, inflation is going crazy and i think they struggle making cheap cars with current regulations
