almost my entire life I couldn’t eat eggs without getting horribly sick. my grandfather and aunt also can’t eat eggs.
now that we have our own chickens I can eat eggs every day.
what the fuck is wrong with the store eggs that make me so violently ill?

nicholas@aklp.clubI don't know about the uk after brexit, but the eu treats eggs very differently from the US. Iirc they don't bleach and irradiate them there, which leaves a natural antimicrobial lining on the egg intact, which not only protects them from spoiling, but they don't even need to be refrigerated.
