@thatbrickster @nierenstein I know a dude who's mostly a normie but he for some reason is a competitive Pokemon autist at the same time. Tbh I don't understand how people can be into modern pokemon. The newer games all look so bad I wouldn't even want my old pokemon traded to them

some games have free updates/dlc with "ultra easy" modes, for older titles maybe there's cheats for emulators. I wouldn't recommend it but many of them are indeed ridiculously hard and unfair so I wouldn't say cheating and ultra easy are completely unjustified as options. They still have merit on vibes and stories alone so go ahead

I always see this and I always see Digimon (SMT but with furry boobs) and absolutely nobody pays lip service to the fact that these games aren't in the same category. Demons in SMT and Digimon in the new games are just fodder to combine endlessly until you get the One True Dude™ that'll carry you through the game. In Pokemon I can play with the most disgratziato Raticate and have a funny story to tell because now I beat the game with a fucking RAT. And then I can trade my RAT to my buddy, or have my RAT battle his RAT in the world's first RAT-off.
Pokemon's only competitor is Palworld, and frankly, even that's a fucking stretch.

I don't care that much about the wholesome OP worm at lvl 100 aspect of pokemon the demons are abstractions of stats, fusion fodder and mystical lore to me (but they do look cool)
