trika shaivism reminds me of kaballah here "Self-Experience of Lord Siva is the primary metaphysical basis of all human experiences, especially those that explain the 'ontological categories such as causality, time and action'."
i like kashmir shaivism a lot. however, i have some disagreements. trikas view consciousness (Parabhairava) as incredibly active and dynamic, in contrast with the kevaladvaita vedantins who view it (nirguna brahman) as passive and static. while i view God as "living", and the world as a play of consciousness, i also view consciousness as perfectly at rest.
"it moves--yet it moves not. its far away, yet its near at hand. its within this whole world--yet its also outside this whole world." (isha upanishad) this is my view of pure consciousness. God in His transcendent aspect thinks/knows everything all at once forever (and He doesn't merely know, He is knowledge itself, non-dual knower-knowledge-known). while ever at rest and unchanging, He may vibrate to produce the universe of changes. this is my position. its very tantric i believe. but i dont actually know that much about kashmir shaivism yet, they could have a similar view.
