I'm desperate enough to watch Star Trek:SNW. The very first episode, the entire bridge except Pike and Spock are female comfywat

@newt this sounds like a cry for help. Are you okay? Are you thinking of harming yourself or others?

@jeremiah I heard there was an episode with a Boltzmann brain in it and I'm curious.

@tobias no, mostly human blacks and asians.

@newt if it's presented by retards who put fireplaces in spaceships, then it's probably going to be rendered just as retarded and disappointing.

@jeremiah it's not that a fireplace on a ship is weird in itself. But it just doesn't look like a spaceship, it looks like a fancy hotel lounge.

@newt Another one fell for the modern Star Trek meme.

They use a video from protests in Ukraine as alien news reel. And then a video from 2021 US protests as a cautionary tale about how humans went started WW3.

I kinda hate this.

@genmaicha @tobias Spock is the only alien on the ship, otherwise. Basically, I'm looking at the population of Los Angeles, not a starship.

@newt @tobias they should remake it with the population of orange county

@newt star trek has had that problem since TNG. The bridge looked like the lobby of a 1990s Hilton.

@jeremiah and that's why I love ENT so much. NX-01 bridge looks like a bridge.

@newt amen. Enterprise and DS9 were the least retarded treks.

Another thing I noticed is, half the scenes use an incredibly shallow depth of field. Are people making it just lazy and trying to save money on backgrounds?

@snacks no, you don't get it. They mostly use it in scenes where a complex background would be required otherwise.

I'm sorry but this sounds like the same exact reason I didn't not finish The Force Awakens, and then I was reminded that apparently the newer movies are even worse than that.

I don't understand how anyone can gobble that shit up and act like it's actually good media. Disney + can release a new mando or some shit and people will eat it up and insist it's good like every other failed Disney show offshoot from marvel.
