@coolboymew @kaia there's 20 years of no privilege and then you benefit from old person privilege which is unisex

@triodug @kaia @coolboymew women are somewhat less likely to be murdered than men but men are way more likely to murder. and they are murdered by other men. you're right about living longer though

@coolboymew @besserwisser @kaia @triodug women get longer sentences for spousal murder and other violent crimes without regard to extenuating circumstances. the justice system is built by men for men, take your complaints up with other men. https://www.domesticshelters.org/articles/in-the-news/women-serve-longer-prison-sentences-after-killing-abusers

@coolboymew @besserwisser @kaia @triodug genetic fallacy, there are other sources reporting it.
men are abused at greater rates than acknowledged but it is rarely violent to a degree they fear life and limb. and it is rarely sexual. even look at pictures that come up in mens rights orgs and the abuse is often illustrated with a picture of a woman nagging.
as for homelessness the only reason there are fewer females than males who are homeless is because of prostitution. sort of trading an awful thing for another awful thing.

@orekix @coolboymew @kaia @triodug i agree with that to an extent, trouble is people so often cite the cultural ones as proof of natural hierarchy or make difference between the mean of each population reason to enforce conformity.

@Moon @orekix @coolboymew @kaia @triodug most privilege is unearned. in the case of aristocracy, we talk of the silver spoon and the cycle of poverty but rarely about heredity. i think it's selfish to have children with a high likelihood of being relegated to a life of menial labor, but then again we are socioeconomically dependent on the existence of a peon class.

@orekix @coolboymew @kaia @triodug cultures change and hierarchies offend the spirit of the people most socially valuable.

@coolboymew @besserwisser @kaia @triodug women made resources for ourselves, men didn't make them. men ought to create those resources themselves instead of expecting women to. it's simply not true that feminists shut down attempts to create male violence shelters.
even commentators on the mens rights subreddit admit it was just that they couldn't get funding in one case because of "societal narrative", that feminists didn't actually protest against it. https://teddit.net/r/MensRights/comments/2onnrz/did_feminists_actually_shut_down_shelters_for_men/

truth is in most cases males want women to include them in our spaces of refuge from male violence, and we say no.

@orekix @coolboymew @kaia @triodug because they're oppressive systems. hierarchy particularly without mobility and especially based on characteristics like sex is anathema to the spirit. you've never been trammeled and trampled by such a hierarchy so it makes sense you'd say "why not just accept it"

@halo @besserwisser @coolboymew @kaia @triodug it's pretty callous to call refuges from violence safe spaces as if they are special snowflakes and not literally being abused.

@coolboymew @besserwisser @kaia @triodug if you trust one reddit users gauging of a nebulous cultural sentiment attributed to feminists in a single case as more authoritative than news sources you just have a bias to confirm and there's no purpose talking to you on this subject. your personal feelings cloud your judgement.

@halo @besserwisser @coolboymew @kaia @triodug I agree class is more important than sex in such matters

@orekix @coolboymew @kaia @triodug the struggle for temperance and conquering of personal demons is not akin to being oppressed for an innate characteristic by a system you didn't asked to be a part of. and we're talking about sex, interesting that you chose to talk about greater versus lesser members of society. regardless society doesn't exist for any reason but to organize people and facilitate exchanges between them material and immaterial. you think it ought to serve "better" people principally. that's your opinion.

@coolboymew @lichelordgodfrey @besserwisser @kaia @triodug you have every right to deem your personal sentiment the highest epistemological authority but it makes serious discussion difficult
