@lucy@netzsphaere.xyz sifted all purpose. i normally use bread flour but this didnt call for it. i like to sift, generally
@eemmaa@girlboss.gaslight.love
@lucy@netzsphaere.xyz yeah my bad, white wheat flour. bleached and enriched, as basic as it gets. acquiring other types would bring likely me to the restaurant supply store. other grains are something I want to try, so I will go there
@lucy@netzsphaere.xyz @eemmaa@girlboss.gaslight.love its satisfying, can recommend
@eemmaa@girlboss.gaslight.love @lucy@netzsphaere.xyz oh that's awesome... I love how rye tastes
@arcana@fedi.layer02.net nah there's unleavened bread and beer bread and soda bread and egg based bread and oil based bread and sourdough and
@arcana@fedi.layer02.net @amelia@misskey.bubbletea.dev absolutely trash take of someone who has never had a good sourdough or beer bread
@arcana@fedi.layer02.net soda bread is delicious, it's made with baking soda. beer bread is nonalcoholic and the beer+butter lends it an incredible depth and richness. oil based bread is generally mid but can be fantastic with the right ingredients. sourdough creates a sort of yeast substitute with fermentation that gives it a beer-bread-adjacent depth, but less rich and more.... clean? unleavened bread is just flatbread, some have air bubbles some don't. I mean naan, tortillas, etc etc
@shibao@misskey.bubbletea.dev @arcana@fedi.layer02.net good beer bread is fucking heavenly. its crusty and crusty and rich with just enough chew to be satisfying and just enough of the malty+hoppy beer flavor to be super interesting without being weird. I'm a simp for beer bread it's the best. And it is non alcoholic
@shibao@misskey.bubbletea.dev @arcana@fedi.layer02.net @lucy@netzsphaere.xyz holy shit I'm gonna do this ur a genius
@arcana@fedi.layer02.net @scathach@stereophonic.space bitches reallu out here not knowing how to get bread ❓❗❗
@scathach@stereophonic.space @arcana@fedi.layer02.net oh the oil based bread is not too much oil, but it's definitely not my preference either
