There was a proposal to have codes you can just buy at a supermarket for aeg verification. Cashier would look at your id without saving it anywhere like buying cigarettes.

@snacks Died because the point of these laws isn't to verify age, it's to require all online activity be tied to a legal identity

@scathach yeah, would've been the one proposal that's not a fucking privacy nightmare. Only age verification scheme i've seen so far that i would've been ok with
