Finally got Big Boss ranking in Metal Gear Solid 2 on xbox and now have both the Steam and Xbox versions 100% done. I did this one 100% legit. I kinda cheesed the steam one using someone elses save. You can't do that on xbox though due to encrypted saves.

Easily a 10/10 challenge

To get big boss you have to do the following

Play on extreme or european extreme difficulty
beat the game under 3 hours
Can only use a max of 8 saves
radar has to be off
rations cannot be used
cannot kill any enemies only stun or tranquilize
bosses have to be stamina killed except metal gear ray
can only use a max of 700 rounds of ammo
can only get 3 alerts ( game gives you 3 mandatory alerts so you can't get any outside of those at all ).
Can only destroy 60 machines ( cameras , ciphers , metal gears ) extreme has you fight 20 metal gears so you can only destroy 40 ciphers and cameras ).

I'd say doing Big Boss taught me a lot about this game at the same time. I used a guide to learn routing and strategies. The guides make it look easier said than done.

The hardest part of Big Boss on MGS2 honestly is the limited saves and ammo restriction. You pretty much have to do the entire tanker level as snake without using any saves at all. I've had 4-5 run attempts die because I got caught by one of the marines in the holds near the end. Lets say a bit of yelling and profanity was involved in completing this challenge.
