@dxm @fiore heres the thing: i used to take it for school and all it did for me is ruin my social life and give me panic attacks

@dxm @fiore oh and make my extremities tingle really really badly while agitated but that went away after i stopped taking it

went cold turkey too because god knows noone respected my bodily autonomy enough to help me taper it off or lower the dosage until its comfortable

@dxm @fiore uhhhhh went through all of em at one point or another cause i kept complaining about side effects and they kept giving me different prescriptions but never actually lowering the dosages any meaningful amount

so yea, definitely lisdex, adderal and methylphenidate all at one point or another. also bupropion when my anxiety started getting worse before a different psychiatrist looked at my prescription, realised that ur literally not allowed to prescribe that to minors cause it can cause heart problems and switched me to an ssri of sorts instead. cant remember which

@dxm @fiore he definitely was but after all of that and quitting cold turkey he did at least give me attestations for sick leave which despite everything i do still find the preferable alternative to this country's absolutely fucked school system

@fiore @dxm one time i broke my toe because i pulled a heavy door open really forcefully unaware of the fact my foot was in the way

did i take painkillers? nope. nor did i do that when i stepped on a shard from a broken plate while fighting my little brother

@dxm @fiore i was somewhat tempted to take them last year because i couldnt focus on my programming and computer hobbies at all anymore and i still think that would probably be a decent idea but after recounting all of that im not so sure anymore. its an irrational grudge because i recognised i was dosed too high and had SEVERAL OTHER circumstances harming me at the time but man they arent even fun

@dxm @fiore realistically paracetamol would probably be better suited but like we only ever keep one type of painkiller stocked up in my household and i dont know why

@coolbean @dxm @fiore aripipipipipiprazole and atomoxetine and vitamin supplements are the only things that have helped me with anything
