there is a staggering amount of money being made by people spinning up 100% AI generated websites and slapping ads on them and then SEO'ing or astroturfing the shit out of those sites elsewhere.

@7666 part of the SEO spam phenonemon probably stems from the exchange rate of the local currency with the US dollar. if you make $3 USD per day from a youtube slop video, that can be a lot of money in certain countries.

@djsumdog @7666 no? i dont do that kind of shit i'm not somebody who jerks off over bash scripts and the terminal, no i just have executive dysfunction issues and take forever to get around to anything. the only things i really want to get around to lately are imageboard stuff and converting this old desktop into a home theater pc/seedbox/emu station (need to buy an svideo outputting graphics card i think that exists???)

@djsumdog @7666 i also dont vibe code, it's never gone well for me, you have to fix everything and it's more effort and difficulty than just writing it yourself. ai is a great rubber ducky though, for troubleshooting, and for like tests or placeholder clients and shit though ^^;
