esoteric traditions that assert absolute oneness not merely as the source but as the true reality of all things (like trika) embody the highest knowledge. esoteric traditions that assert duality (like mandeism) embody ignorance mixed with some knowledge. esoteric traditions that assert highly specific systems of plurality (like valentinism) are the worst sort of mental masturbation. this is why "mystical" and "esoteric" are poor appellations. only some mysticism leads to the truth, leads to God.
