I haven't played Elite, that being said I preferred the visual novel's visuals to the anime, so I'd personally recommend the original VN anyway. I think the anime loses a lot of the original art style.

It's Japanese only, but there is an English patch (Your choice, depending on how well you can read Japanese). I assume your PSP is hacked, so you could do either.
There's also a PS Vita version that has an official translation, that's how I played it.

The show's from 2011, but it originally released for the Xbox 360 in 2009 (Microsoft were trying to hit big in the Japanese market through exclusivity deals, but it obviously didn't work out)
The PSP was still big in 2011, especially in Japan, so I guess they put it out to coincide with the show's release.

@SuperDicq @yomiel the VN is originally from 2009, PSP port is from 2011 so when PSP was alive (and Japanese like to make remakes/ports for a long time)
there is an English translation for PSP but I haven't yet played it so idk if it's a good one
