@snacks which one do you mean, the nautilus one or the gtk one? nautilus one sucks because well, its nautilus, nautilus is kinda ass gtk one sucks because no one works on it and they want you to just use the nautilus one
@mischievoustomato@snacks you're not using the gtk file picker, you're using the gnome file picker which is just nautilus the gtk file picker is this mess
@rose@snacks fwiw, since gtk4, the gnome/gtk file picker is the gnome one, which iirc is nautilus basically with some things missing, but the needed core in there. I really like it because I can do things like searching. One jarring thing was that I just couldn't do that on the Dolphin/KDE file picker. Not to mention that Recent Files/Locations on KDE just don't work
@rose@snacks yeah that one is old, i didnt do much with it in the past (been using gnome since I moved to linux near full time in 2020), but it was fine enough
@pettanko@snacks@mischievoustomato idk if thats fixed by now but like one or two years ago when i added drag-and-drop support to bottles it was a stupid fucking bug with portals where the application getting file just gets the full path, even if its in something like flatpak and needs the portal path
