@meso even in the late 1990s you had to take out massive loans and books cost hundreds of dollars but he's right

@sun dont get the right wing hate against anything biden does. This is good stuff. Like the not escalating too much with Israel, good decision. There was also some internet bill that was good. It's not all bad and there's some things they sperg out about that are just comical

@meso I don't know exactly what he's referring to but if it's about biden's plan to just pay off people's student loans, it's very stupid because it just causes future loans to inflate even more. That is even before you get to "paying people out of the government coffers to get them to vote for you"

@meso you're right that republicans are reflexively against whatever democrats propose. I remember when Obama was in the White House and Michelle Obama just wanted to encourage kids to exercise more and there were Republicans saying that it was treating kids like slaves.

Yeah, like she cared about kids' health. Check out her new drink:

According to health experts, the new juice drinks fail the Obama-era health standards put in place to fight childhood obesity.

One 8 oz Plezi juice drink contains 35 calories and 6 grams of suga

I think most sane people just don't like her fucking up kids' lunches. In fact an entire generation seems to still hate her for it from polling.

@sun @meso

The loans make education expensive, and now that everyone has a college degree, they are worthless and kids have to go on to graduate school.

@sun @meso my view on it is that university should be seen as an exclusive place of academia for those wanting to specifically do academia. High entry criteria, not for everybody, and those that join should do so via scholarships if they aren’t independently wealthy.

@meso @sun @thendrix he brought down tuck shops leading to the school black markets gaining a bunch of pop and “junk food” on them. You could buy a multipack of stuff and then sell it individually at massive markup
