Burschenschafts are like frat boys. In germany it's not just an academic career club like in the US but rather intertwined with the first attempted bourgeois nationalist revolution (which failed btw, germany has a literal failed revolution flag lol). That's why they still persist in academia and all high level administrative positions despite being notorious chud moid safe spaces that almost everyone hates (they are always drunk and dress & act totally retarded in university cities, the only cool thing is the swordfighting)
