अहं ब्रह्मास्मि त्वं ब्रह्म असि अयम् आत्मा ब्रह्म सर्वं खल्विदं ब्रह्म
@lain i didnt check the links i just read the screenies, and the answer to my first question is in line with my current understanding while i find the answer to the second question quite egregious. the brahman is sacchidananda. i can find nothing on the "golden trap" as well.

if all this is true, my effortpost the other day is 100 percent correct. which makes sense, because before i made it, i reviewed the wikipedia article on three bodies doctrine. is this the universal vedantic perspective? no, because in my perusal of sources, i found this next screenshot. damn it, i was so close.

if you read the rest of the article and even the rest of the section the last paragraph is quite jarring to say the least. (note: my mom once said she feared me joining "the hare krishnas")

mind blown tbh. i thought the universe being unreal was sankaras position. i knew that the vaisnavas and the tantrics believe it to be real. this is of course not to be confused with maya theory. many schools that believe the universe is real also believe in maya.

here's my position in brief: https://netzsphaere.xyz/objects/a79a79ab-c9e8-4387-860a-5807efa26063

there needs to be a derogatory word for people who believe this crap about God having an essential form and thus they obsess over Gods body. God transcends form and all forms are His. and "see with His ears, hear with His eyes" is just fluff. God is all-perceiving with or without taking a body.

incorrect, and i'm not just talking about how He claims Brahma is higher than Shiva here. anyway, the only being which is VASTLY higher than all other beings is the Supreme Lord. but its convenient for a brahma sampradaya guy to say this.

also, this is what i mean when i say the account of the BP *reads* as being highly adulterated. this is like the puranic example of "and then the whole bus clapped" making an account immediately dubious of embellishment.

here's a good example. Him being astonished by the working of His own energy is no balm for this flaw in the text. it is remniscent of "taking refuge in yogamaya's powers", but of course, Brahman under the influence of maya (or yogamaya) is called a jiva.

erm actually, evil demons have their powers by birth or by sorcery or by horrible austerities (the latter only grants boons that are curses), not by yogic achievement. if they had success in yoga, they would quickly no longer be evil.
