@newmodel there are books on crafting your own spreads too but i think its good to just use your intuition and creativity! and pretty much every tarot guidebook has the authors unique spreads along with traditional ones like celtic cross.

@newmodel freeform means they kind of develop organically and theres no rules, tableau is in a grid with fun stuff built in like reading the columns/rows/diagonals/corners. method of distance, houses, and directional cues are also often used in tableau style reading.

@mia in modern RWS tradition the hanged man is quite positive, about a new perspective, though it can also mean a sacrifice or a pause. it can also represent devotion, surrender and knowledge. incidentally the hanged man is lucys future significator, ive pulled it for her numerous times.

@allison @kirby 2017 near miss was simply this: georgia being taken by a frenchwoman on mastodon social (which I thought was the most modern version of gnu social which I knew about because of prism. break) and me really wanting my name on big name instance because I was sick of all my lame alts. for a couple years after I followed the progress of fedi but I didnt join until right after spinster started because it merged my interest in free software with radical feminism or so I thought.
