when someone gets me a deck and its not a deck I tell them to get I want them to at least really like it themselves. I want them to put in the effort to find it like I put in the effort to divine with it and I want it to feel like them if it isnt something I already like because i can at least use it to connect to them. but people keep getting me decks they dont even particularly like themselves, they just know I like decks so they get me a mass market deck I already know about and dislike. and what am I supposed to do with them? I hate trashing gifts. getting gifts I dont like and feel obligated to use is genuinely stressful...

my stepbrothers wife got me a ciro marchetti deck which is the worst sort of cheesy fantasy art >.< I feel guilty telling her I won't use it but I'm so particular about decks... people keep making that mistake smdh just ask me what deck I want first.

@kaia lmao I know that deck its ethereal visions by matt hughes. not on my wishlist although I kinda like the Luna edition. (rainbow holo hehe) the only art nouveau deck thats ever really attracted me is dawn of dream which is indie and will soon be out of print. its stunning however I didnt get it cause the only black person in the deck is the devil

it makes me so sad that very soon I won't ever be able to tell the difference between AI generated art and non AI generated art. when this happens I'm just not going to buy anything without video of the drawing process, but soon that too will be faked. all of art is under threat frankly. might as well acquire as many tarot decks (which are used to communicate with God so having AI art in them is just evil) as i can while I still trust them in the next couple years.
