ive seen asuras conflated with demons a lot but they aren't always malevolent, more are prone to hunger for power, the rakshasas are more like demons

theres a lot of good stuff in the uddhava gita although its not close to perfect. I like the mentions of kindness to animals.

lowkey shocked at how much monism is in the uddhava gita, even though ramanuja like thought is prominent too

lemme just say theres no suicide in the principal upanishads (although there is some in some later minor upanishads), or in the Bhagavad gita which condemns torture of the body, but there is suicide by immolation in the bhagavata purana including in the uddhava gita... guess its not just sati for the womanfolk... man I'm real soured on this purana.

cow worship may be a symptom of brahmana supremacy (because of the ghee in vedic oblations) but I think all animals are sacred, especially naturally peaceful ones like cows

uddhava gita is pretty good but theres definitely sexism and casteism in it like the rest of the purana.
