@pry the Mahabharata is long as fuck and krishna isnt really the main character. its okay to just read the bhagavad gita. the relationship between Krishna's life and the bhagavad gita isnt like the synoptic gospels and the sermon on the mount. I also recommend reading the upanishads. to start easwarans books are very good. after that maybe read the Brahma sutras with a commentary you like.

@pry some of the texts definitions of things are not very good, like their definition of maya. if youre curious about a term I recommend looking it up :)
