@Erato_Heti @patchuun @mer she doesnt act like someone with principles though. she acts like a stupid kid who did something stupid and retreated to her innate personality after getting caught. if she wanted to get out of jail because jail sucks and then used her parents money to change society, that wouldve been cool. instead she became a dysgenic fancy dog trainer or something. I'm not impressed.

I usually play high-elf mage or dunedain preist in angband but I'm tempted to play an elf necromancer

I play very optimized characters when playing DND, very roleplay focused characters when playing my favorite roleplay game system... and I savescum terribly in roguelikes. tbh in the angbandlike game sil I couldnt even beat the final boss while maxxed out as a character.

it may be that the best angband strategy is just diving and getting good loot and avoiding the scary monsters. I'm thorough to a fault when I play games including rougelikes so I'm naturally a terrible save scummer. I also like to play advanced races so I start off nicely and require more experiences to achieve parity in some areas.
