I post silly cats sometimes
the transhumanists need to stop wasting their time making billionaires look younger and get to work on converting my empty gay womb into a bladder for piss so I'm not vexed by this constant sisyphean cycle of drinking and pissing.

@lizzie there is a really good CGP Grey video about how anger makes folks dumber and can lead to spirals of outrage online. I’d definitely recommend giving it a watch if anyone is interested:

@lizzie @risperdoll there is no unified hindu perspective on whether there are fundamentally different kinds of beings (in the form of different souls with different destinies, fuck you madhva in particular) but certainly all monist and many monotheist schools agree with the highest dharma that all are Brahman and ought to be looked upon and treated as such. yoga provides equal vision and a brahmana, a dog, and a dog-eater (kind of outcaste) are viewed by the enlightened with perfect equanimity. personally i believe that all souls are totally equal and it is only their samskaras and karma and bodies and faculties which are different. also I will say that in general hinduism exalts animal life more than any other non-shamanic or indigenous religion. not just with the ideology of ahimsa and lactovegetarianism, and with them being perceived as part of divine immanence but in the many animal forms of devas and their vahanas.

@technolyze @bonifartius @scathach the Isra and Mi'raj (more like Israel Mirage) was basically Islams attempt to get approval of Muhammad from all the prophets of Judaism and Jesus in spectacular fashion. it is a lot like the transfiguration of Jesus where Moses and Elijah showed up in that regard but imo the latter actually happened

@technolyze @bonifartius @scathach yes they believe jesus will return and "break the cross" as an idol and basically say "Hi its me Jesus, there is no God but Allah and Muhammad is his prophet". very convenient!

@risperdoll I like to think it means that Jesus was compassionate even to demons. sure this would seem like a contradiction because he wasnt compassionate to the pigs, but usually animals can't know God while demons can. (not in christianity maybe but definitely in hinduism)

@eris @technolyze I imagine disability fetishists to be like chasers but worse. can't we just love someone and think theyre beautiful without fetishizing their helplessness?

@sathariel @sarvo Brahman is unfathomably perfect and beyond all qualities, parts, characteristics and steps, transcending space time and causality, even beyond the duality of being and non-being. and yet Ishvara does possess superlative qualities like omniscience, omnipotence, glory, splendor, beauty, etc. the prakritic matrix and its evolutes like suffering etc exist as pure potential within Brahman and then is expressed as the Universe when Ishvara wills it.

@scathach @bonifartius islam considers worship of jesus to be shirk (an unforgivable sin) and doesnt even believe jesus was crucified, so the religions can't be reconciled, fortunately or unfortunately.

@risperdoll i talk about advaita vedanta a lot but im closer to being a kashmiri shaivite in my monism (except i view the world as neither real nor non real, as Gods body but also as maya but also as vibrating [energy-]consciousness) and I synthesize jesus into my religious worldview as an avatara who preached highest dharma (the law of love). btw boop me on telegram for my modest collection of kashmiri shaivi PDFs.

@sarvo youre comparing bliss free of delusion (free of the bounds of maya) to bliss caused by delusion (intoxicants, though I won't claim entheogens can't provide spiritual truth to some people)

@bell this is going to sound trite but dharma is cosmic law, it is righteousness and it is duty. it is your place in the world, doing what's right and what maintains cosmic order (rita). it is goodness that always prevails against evil. of course, the not-so-secret secret teaching is that highest dharma is to view and thus love all beings equally as Brahman, and to surrender completely and devote oneself entirely to God, making everything a sacrifice to Him/Her, even your sins and your suffering.
