@lizzie someone I overheard today had a lot of silly and very heretical theories about jesus like that the ointment he was anointed with before he died was painkiller ointment so he felt no pain during the crucifixion, and that it didnt really kill him and he survived to become a literal king of Judah somehow

I find the shia concept of the imam much more amenable than the sunni caliph (even rightly guided) but the sunnis practice sufism more than the shia do in my understanding

@Hyperhidrosis @scathach I like a lot of things about islam except the focus on Gods wrath and the sexism and the intolerance towards other religions. sufism is extremely cool but muhammad was a mixed bag as a person (possibly creating verses to justify his rakery) but you win some you lose some.

ive had a lot of spiritual experiences some of them verifiably supramundane but my life is still a huge mess. all I can do is hope God changes my heart.
