I post silly cats sometimes
theres a lot I like about Advaita vedanta although I dont consider myself an advaita vedantin anymore, just a monist. one difference is I think its silly that they don't think Para Brahman knows Itself because its the only substance. I think its possible to say that Brahman is knower-knowledge-known and also all-knowing, I just think its a different definition of all-knowing thats not "knowing other different things", thats non-dual and thus even more all- encompassing.

people who think that either nirguna or saguna brahman is higher dont get it tbh. just because nirguna is more hidden and unconditioned doesnt mean its higher and just because saguna is more superlative and can dispense grace doesnt mean its higher. God is One thing!!! the Sikhs have it right.

"I AM THAT I AM" is an incredible mantra. it its ever-existent, ever-true, and contains self-knowing self-reflecting ultimate subjecthood. meanwhile the kashmir shaivis have "Aham" which has its own mystical explanation but just means "I". pure self-reflecting consciousness basically. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aham_(Kashmir_Shaivism)

"Self Supreme (Paramatman), ever-watchful as Your friend, the living being (jiva), enjoys its action's (karma) ripe fruits on Your shared body's tree, You verily are Brahman Itself."

I feel like this will hit harder in sanskrit which has freer word order lol. maybe I need to make it less awkward, any suggestions?

dvaitans are just as hindu as mimamsakans in my humble monist opinion. at least the mimamsakans dont believe in eternal damnation.

@scathach all the near future elements in readings ive done have come true except one where I misinterpreted it (it wasnt the cards it was my reading of them basically). however the long term stuff hasnt come true yet so who knows. however I only started doing readings a year ago so it makes sense they wouldnt be active yet. honestly I'm a huge believer in divination because of how many times ive said to God "please show me this card (out of 78 cards) if this will happen" and ive gotten the exact card or its fallen out. its happened like five times and I dont do nearly enough readings for myself for that to be chance. oh another thing that solidified my belief is vriskas reading for me that predicted in great detail my hospitalization, including my symptoms of insomnia and delusions about my appearance due to mania. im kind of oversimplifying it but it was incredible.
