@meowski seems like youre saying "ocean deoxygenation occurred before humans were here so the ensuing extinction event means nothing for the ocean deoxygenation occurring now". do you not see how this is a fallacious argument? if ocean acidification (also linked to previous mass extinctions) and deoxygenation is occurring, then species are and will go extinct.

@meowski look up ocean deoxygenation. its part of climate change and has led to multiple mass extinction events in the past. "all mass extinction events were caused by meteors and volcanoes" is just ignorance.

@meowski >its happened in the past and the planet survived

and how many species went extinct?
theres nothing wrong with trying to prevent another mass extinction and support biodiversity.

I think the worst environmental issue is microplastics but one picks their battles

"conservatives" admit the existence of air/water pollution and claim to want a remedy but they deny that this pollution can have any lasting effect on earths climate. its quite silly.

not my fault but my moms for not walking her on a leash and for picking them up while they were in the nest and thus desensitizing them

religions that think their human language is the one spoken in heaven or even that God created the world using letters from their language are rather obviously wrong. hinduism has some of this but I see seed mantras as different. aum and hrim and such transcend language and arent actually sanskrit words.

sikhism is the ideal warrior religion because its also a religion of peace. it is a bit odd reading about brave warriors in the same breath as reading about yogis though..

I can criticize the heaven of the quran for its sex slaves (erm beautiful attendants) but the final abode of bhagavatism is bad for its carnal beauty too (with the exception that no sex happens in it because everyone is so enthralled by krishna).

this is why monists like advaita vedantics, kashmir shaivites, and shaktas are correct when they just say "you merge into God when you die". God doesnt have an abode or a true form! He is not a man in the sky, although His descents adorn a few rare worlds! He is omnipresent, timeless, spaceless, formless, and all forms are His!

@salt only God knows a persons karma. likewise its foolish of you to want to die not knowing your next destination. if you did know as much about reality as you claim to you would seek ultimate endless bliss, not the finite bliss of the carnal heaven of the Quran with its fine food, luxurious palaces and beautiful virgin women.
