the idea that the soul is a tiny part of God and not just God (like everything else is) is strange to me. God is indivisible. He has no atoms. It also borders on pantheism that everything in the universe together is God. its only superficially attractive.

the hindu concept of the soul as birthless and deathless and of immortality as liberation from transmigration makes more sense to me than the christian concept of a soul created to briefly dwell on earth and then be in heaven or hell forever

@meso @dagda @yomiel the notion that religion is primarily about control is a western reformation era belief. religion is about love of God when done correctly. you can be content to reject all religions while ill be content to have my own religious beliefs from things God has told me :)
