googlegoat agree on all counts except I think while all is consciousness, vibrating consciousness (energy) can be called both real and unreal, for consciousness is ultimately perfectly static

this is so important. those who have attained the highest state one can in life dwell in pure consciousness, so it is left for those behind to argue on such matters. in truth, only God knows.

yeah now nothing will convince me that there are different ultimate destinations with different levels of bliss for beings (fully liberated!!) based on their kind of yoga or devotion in life. all reach the highest state one day and stay there. anything else is not merciful enough.

this just strikes me as an attachment to separateness (from God and from other souls) and an attachment to a a certain familiar kind of relationship with God. it is noble to desire separateness from God in this way though, no?

its somewhat embarrassing but I stopped reading romans after paul started judging the shit out of homos. homosexuality is a minor sin at most and he was going off about it. I find him to be very judgemental in general. not my preferred behavior from a saint... but honestly I was biased against paul to begin with. I consider peter to be far preferable with his simple non hellenizer ways. in the incident at Antioch I'd support peter without even knowing the details just because paul rubs me the wrong way for some reason.

it strikes me as so utterly strange how the Vedas (not including the upanishads) can be so revered yet so regarded as inferior to the later religion of hinduism
