there are great male animal, male demon, and very young male child bhaktas in this purana. but I see no great female yogis of any sort, unlike the notable women in the upanishads. instead it seems in this purana the greatest among women immolate themselves on account of their dead husbands, despite attachment to wives being criticized again and again and again. what a shame.

book 3 chapter 30 of the bhagavata purana is so bleak, it reads like something out of the quran. only difference is the hell isnt forever, its purifying like purgatory it being hinduism

I used to think maya was Gods highest power, for it causes even God to forget His nature and in this way creates all things. but now I think it is grace. only grace can undo the knot of maya, after all.
