we are both Gods part, as part of His body the universe (Virat), and Gods whole in fullness, as our soul (Atman) is Him (Brahman). out of the full, the plenum, the infinite, the whole, comes the full, the plenum, the infinite, the whole. and when this fullness merges into that fullness, all that remains is fullness.

honestly the idea of an incarnation being just a normal person who doesnt much care about the establishment of religion and the destruction of evil, but is just God in human form who acts as the nicest person youve ever met as an expression of pure joy in lila and even sometimes is so engrossed in play acting (lila) that they lose themselves while still being Self-posessed, the idea that you could know such a person, is so enthralling to me. incarnations are kinda like that, krishna was known by most as a very talented and meritorious human and jesus hid his divine status in the synoptics. and in truth, all beings are manifestations of God and are Brahman, but have forgotten this (except yogis). I had a dream last night where God instructed me in controlling the senses and was just a mere highschoolteacher who was totally non-violent (didnt kill even an insect) and incredibly kind, and even "forgot" that she was omniscient and omnipotent while controlling my mind and senses for the purpose of demonstrating their difference from my Self. wild dream. much better than yesterdays dream where I was a druid (in the DND way) trying and failing to protect the world from robot aliens with robot alien tentacles that probed my brain and eventually made me into their slave. (I could feel the tentacles in my brain, though the brain has no inner sensation).

very much recommend this for those interested in delving further into the Gita after reading it once or twice (or more)

I agree with sridhara on a lot, I just think that the jiva is God at her core and as such merges entirely into God after death when liberated. sridhara believes that both the jiva and ishvara are pure consciousness, but because the jiva is dependent on ishvara and not vise versa the jiva has multiple forms of liberation one of which is merging into brahman and another which is attaining the form of ishvara but neither seem to be becoming God in full. in this regard he is a typical vaishnavite (despite "being a monist" allegedly) and he seems to take it from the bhagavata purana which I regard as only partly divinely inspired.

honestly its wild to me how popular Buddhism is with liberation and the monastic life being its core focus. so few people are suited to attain nibbana in this era and yet buddhism is a world religion. the appeal of mahayana buddhism in this regard makes more sense to me with its devotional aspect.
