I post silly cats sometimes
perhaps my biggest complaint with many vaishnavites is that they believe in a God-abode as the final beautitude instead of just believing in merging with God which they think is inferior in bliss to being separate, which I think is nonsense

madhura rasa is definitely the most misunderstood rasa even though its one of the most potent. and worship of God as a servant savior and humble king, someone who controls you and yet suffered for you kind of defies existing hindu rasas, it mixes rasas for sure (which isnt a bad thing!)

people sometimes call the gita govinda the hindu song of songs but I would say its the rasa-pañcadhyayi. I talk smack about the bhagavata purana but that part of it is almost perfect. in comparison the gita govinda is rather flawed in its portrayal of krishna though I never finished it due to not feeling it was sufficiently holy.

basically when I'm talking about sadharmya I'm talking about san juan de la cruz's kenosis that leads to henosis/theosis

doing svadharma in the sense of the duty youre born into based on circumstances of birth and innate tendencies and/or the role in society you have accepted responsibility for is a huge theme of the mahabharata but the highest teaching of the bhagavad gita is to abandon all other dharmas and turn to God alone (even as krishna tells arjuna he cannot violate his svadharma he tells him to surrender all actions to Him). as Brahman is the true svabhava this state of unity with Gods will achieved from yoga is the true svadharma, and such a similitude to God found by being aligned with His will can be called sadharmya.

while (particularly ignorant and bound) living beings can be called parts of God, I dont believe souls are "portions" of a different divine oversoul. thats like saying God is a body composed of all the souls, which is imo pantheist not panentheist. and how can any partial thing come out of pure infinite self-fulfilled fullness? likewise I dont believe that souls are any different from one another in their svabhava, just in their samskaras vasanas and karma (which are interrelated ofc). ofc God can do anything so He can limit himself in portions if He wishes, but those are the devas and men called his amsas and also I would say that describes reality under maya itself, which seems like a limited thing but in actuality is pure infinite consciousness. so basically, God is so limitless He defies limiting while encompassing it if He wishes. and God is inconceivably one and non-dual.
