in one part of his gita bhashya (i haven't read close to all of it, what a waste of time!) madhva glosses "Brahman" as "Lakshmi" if you want to know what he's like. there's no worse butcher of vedanta!

is there any greater hypocrite among hindus than one who denies the Self is God and then translates "atman" in vedantic texts as some name of God? it would be one thing if it were uncommon, but its extremely common.

if you call Brahman, the highest goal and purport of the upanishads, an "impersonal bodily effulgence" you have made an enemy of me

"Mahāvishnu, Garbhodakaśāyī Vishnu, Ksirodakaśāyī Vishnu" there is only one Vishnu and He doesn't need to "expand Himself" (hah! God is fullness itself!) to perform any function, being omnipotent and all-pervasive.

God is impartite but saying we are each a part of God attests to God's inexhaustability by us and the small role we have within the infinite lila of pure consciousness

oneness is the highest truth of the universe and beyond it. why say "or" when you can say "and"?

if you're going to worship a false avatara you might as well worship one with prema-bhakti

The one whose self is united in yoga, who sees the Self abiding in all beings and all beings in the Self, sees equally everywhere.
He who sees Me everywhere and sees everything in Me—for him I am not lost, nor is he lost to Me.
He who, established in oneness, worships Me dwelling in all beings, that yogi abides in Me, however he may act in every way.
He who, by comparison with himself, sees equality everywhere, O Arjuna, whether in pleasure or in pain—that yogi is considered the highest.

plenty of people are beneath being liked but no one is beneath being loved. frankly its a flaw of the english language that love means both something sublime and "strong like". it shouldn't be possible to love one's child or God and also to love pepperoni pizza.

translating scripture in a misleading way to further a divisive or polemical agenda is a great sin.

the worst part of the bhagavad gita is the part about diversity (guna theory, the demonic vs the divine), while the best part of the bhagavad gita is the part about unity (vedanta).
